We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Manager, Manufacturing Production Process Engineering supporting the MTO Engineering Team in Houston, TX, a typical day will include:

• Design, implement, and maintain process monitoring and control systems based on an Ignition platform using both automated machine and process data.

• Monitor and analyze process data from a variety of sources with SPC tools to identify areas for improvement and to troubleshoot and escalate OOT control issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

• Develop and document monitoring and control best practices and operating procedures for the site.

• Experience with process optimization and Industrial Automation Control Systems, especially Ignition.

• Lead projects within manufacturing production process engineering to drive productivity and meet departmental objectives.

• Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes, including creating efficient equipment layouts, designing production operation sequences, and specifying procedures for fabricating tools and adapting machinery to factory conditions.

• Conduct tests throughout production stages to monitor variables, resolve production problems, and ensure processes comply with regulations.

• Guide product design engineering on technical specifications to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

• Provide expert technical support, training, and service to optimize production processes and support team performance.

• Demonstrate advanced project management, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to enhance operational efficiency.

• Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training.

• Drive continuous improvement and maintain regulatory compliance in all operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

• 5 Years of Relevant Experience

• Worksite location: Onsite

• Travel: Up tp 10%

This position can be offered at an Associate II position, depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
