Description |
The Lead Operator Production (Team Leader) will perform various tasks in the Production Department as directed by supervision. Tasks can include but are not limited to: Performing the duties of the Process Team Leader in their absence and completing the required daily tasks. |
Job Details |
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Performing the duties of the Process Team Leader in their absence
- Completing the daily Forklift inspections and emergency equipment checklists
- Helping manage the level of T-300 split tank
- Ensuring the proper operation of the Butyric Acid Fume Scrubber
- Help maintain the proper levels in the partial glycol condenser systems
- Performing hazardous waste inspections
- Performing visual line transfer checks as needed
- Assist the department with training of operators
- Help coordinate packaging tasks with the shipping department as needed
- Help coordinate maintenance tasks with the maintenance department
- Assist the quality department with any specific sampling requested
- Help coordinate housekeeping tasks as needed
- Perform any duties surrounding operating Manual and Automated Reactor Equipment Groups # 1, # 2, # 3, # 4, # 5, # 6, and # 7
- Performs additional duties as assigned/required

- Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
- Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

- Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
- Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
- Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of six (6) months experience as an "A" Operator required.
- Prior completion of all training listed below is required:
- "A" Operator
- Entry "A" Operator
- "B" Operator
- Entry "B" Operator
- "C" Operator
- Laborer
- 2 or more years with the company in closely related work or related outside work experience required
- Working knowledge of SAP system
- Ability to issue and follow written directions
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments
- Ability to work 1 hour rotating shifts
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive, physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
