Project Manager

IDEXX Veterinary Software is seeking a Project Manager in our Strategy and Operations organization. As a Project Manager in this group, you will play a crucial role in supporting critical operational initiatives aligned to VetSoft's strategic goals. This role is ideal for someone early in their project management career who is eager to build foundational skills in stakeholder coordination, timeline management, and risk mitigation. The role will partner with senior leaders, functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives. This is an on-site role that will sit in the Westbrook, ME office 2 days per week. We are unable to provide relocation for this role.

What you will do:

Project Planning & Coordination

• Support the development of project plans, timelines, and workstream milestones.
• Assist in defining scope, objectives, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment and progress.
• Maintain project documentation, trackers, and reporting dashboards.

Execution & Delivery

• Monitor project progress against timelines and escalate risks as needed.
• Facilitate recurring project meetings and document key decisions and action items.
• Track dependencies and proactively follow up to ensure deliverables are completed.
• Support change management activities related to project rollouts.

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide regular status updates to project sponsors and leadership.
• Ensure stakeholders have clarity on timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
• Serve as a central point of coordination across teams.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify potential risks and support mitigation planning.
• Maintain a project risk log and escalate issues appropriately.
• Help drive resolution of blockers to keep projects on track.

What you will need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
