Scheduled Weekly Hours:

36 The Revenue Cycle Analyst is primarily responsible for revenue cycle periodic and ad hoc reporting and analysis. This individual will work independently to analyze and interpret complex data and use problem solving skills to convert the data into useable information which will be used to apply Lean techniques. Requires the ability to carry out advanced and confidential project work.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparing financial and statistical analyses, graphs, and presentation materials to support a variety of personnel, directors, and managers.
  • Supporting cross-functional project teams while assisting Revenue Cycle in meeting organizational goals and objectives such as researching and reporting on avoidable write-offs, denials trends and payer information.
  • Providing payer data to communicate claim issues to achieve payment resolution.
  • Providing data to improve internal processes to prevent denials and avoidable write-offs.
  • Interpreting, analyzing, and converting data into useable information. Identifying the data necessary to establish a baseline and measure change, data gathering, presentation, interpretation and analysis).
  • Development of analyses and reports to support revenue cycle initiatives, including financial evaluation of strategic initiatives and ongoing monitoring of progress. Identifying and making recommendations for improving existing processes and following through as appropriate.
  • Coordinating with revenue cycle management to identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Achieving Certified Ambulance Coder certification to understand Revenue Cycle requirements and processes. Communicating with patients and payers about claims as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in financial analysis or related field required.
