Energy Logistics Manager - South
Hybrid - must reside in Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Ohio, Georgia, or Florida

This position plans, executes and optimizes the movement, storage and delivery of short-term and long-term gas supply planning and procurement ensuring compliance, cost efficiency and safety while coordinating across procurement, engineering and field teams for projects and maintenance, focusing on reliable supply for the company's distribution retail customers

What youll be working on:



  • Manage the short term and long-term gas supply planning and procurement activities including procurement and optimization of company transportation capacity.

    • Manage day-to-day logistics of business unit to ensure gas supply aligns with system demand.
    • Forecast short and long-term gas supply needs for the business unit.
    • Lead analyses for interstate pipeline acquisition proposals and optimization, as necessary.
    • Negotiate and maintain contracts with pipeline suppliers for firm and interruptible transportation capacity and storage devices.
    • Negotiate and maintain contracts with gas marketers and suppliers for natural gas supply.
    • Directly oversee and monitor gas purchases.
    • Directly supervise the gas supply functions within the department.
    • Oversee any contracts with suppliers that manage assets (company transportation and storage contracts). Participate in the negotiation of these agreements with the asset manager(s) and direct these activities on a day-to-day basis.
    • Serve as the primary representative for the business unit in dealings with interstate pipeline.
    • Directly oversee interstate pipeline capacity management activities. Oversee company transportation capacity releases.
    • Review and approve all supplier and interstate pipeline invoices.


  • Coordination and Management of Assigned transportation programs

    • Assist and support the development of transportation service offerings, rate schedules and tariff terms and conditions.
    • Oversee and administer transportation services by assisting both distribution retail customers and gas suppliers with their transportation service activities.
    • Work with the customer service and back-office teams with regard to billing and invoicing of the transportation services.


  • Regulatory Support

    • Generate transportation service tariff changes as necessary.
    • Provide testimony as needed and participate in state regulatory proceedings related to business units' gas supply planning and procurement activities.
    • Provide ongoing and updated gas price forecasts and analysis to support regulatory filings and applications as necessary.
    • Prepare regulatory data requests.




  • Direct supervision of Energy Logistics.

    • Ensure an appropriate level of resources are being utilized within the department.
    • Direct responsibility for interviewing, recommending, and hiring individuals for positions within the department, when necessary.
    • Directly supervise, complete performance appraisals and coordinate employee development plans for the department personnel in accordance with Company policies and procedures.


  • Perform other gas supply, procurement, and transportation service related administration as necessary to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the department.


Who you are:



  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Three (3) years minimum of relevant leadership in energy logistics or related role
  • Regular Driver's License
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of energy sector-specific regulations and protocols
  • Strong skills in MS Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and properly prioritize
  • Experience with data analytics and KPIs
  • Ability to manage complex, high-stakes logistics in dynamic environments
  • Ability to maintain familiarity with O&M Safety Procedures
