The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines. We have a immediate need seeking a highly experienced Sr. Portfolio/Program Management Analyst to join the DHS/CBP team onsite in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities This role is pivotal in providing expert portfolio/program support focused on DHS/CBP policies, governance, and oversight of both Major and Non-Major acquisition programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, evaluate, and optimize acquisition processes, ensuring compliance with Federal regulations and DHS directives. By supporting senior leadership in data-driven decision-making, this position plays a critical role in driving effective and efficient program execution, mitigating risks, and enhancing overall mission outcomes in homeland security initiatives. Interface and facilitate working groups with internal CBP components (e.g., OFO, USBP, AMO) and external partners (e.g., contractors, interagency groups) to foster collaboration and resolve challenges in support of the CAE. Prepare reports, presentations, communications strategies, and communications plans for senior CBP stakeholders, the CBP acquisition community, and lunch-and-learn events. Develop, interpret, and apply DHS acquisition policies, including the DHS Instruction 102-01 (Acquisition Management) and related directives, to guide program planning, execution, and oversight. Ensure alignment with Federal standards such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DHS-specific guidelines. Provide technical analyses, briefings, and recommendations to CBP senior executives and program managers to inform strategic decisions. Collaborate with working groups to implement best practices to ensure programs are executed efficiently. Stay abreast of emerging DHS Acquisiton trends, tools, and methodologies relevant to DHS missions. Contribute to policy updates, training programs, and process enhancements to elevate acquisition maturity. Qualifications Required:
