Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Butlerville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This post requires both driving and carrying a firearm. You will remain highly visible, respond to situations as needed, and uphold our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address situations as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a secure environment at the government location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, complete required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary to address security-related incidents or emergencies at the location.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence while on duty to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
