Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Residential Patrols in South Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a prestigious residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and observant while on duty, maintaining a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A current armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
