Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:



  • Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Assign responsibilities to production employees and monitor performance.
  • Ensure production plans are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with other production shops to address manpower and product requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure tooling and equipment at all workstations are correct and in proper working condition.


Documentation & Compliance:



  • Assist DI's with Precase and FOD inspections for all assemblies.
  • Ensure LOT traceability is performed on all products.
  • Guarantee proper and complete paperwork is maintained for all products.
  • Complete and submit the Monday/Thursday production spreadsheet for GM meetings.
  • Compile production records and prepare reports as needed.
  • Ensure personnel training documentation is current and stored in the designated training folder.


Team Leadership & Development:



  • Supervise and coach employees, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Develop and mentor Lead Technicians appropriate to shop size (typically 3-5 personnel per Lead).
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure all employees are trained and leads are actively engaged in training efforts.


Workforce & Safety Management:



  • Prepare and manage daily and weekly work schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
