FACILITIES MANAGER / DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE Full-Time Position
Shade–Central City School District is seeking a qualified Facilities Manager / Director of Maintenance to oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and operation of all district buildings, grounds, and related systems.
Position Summary: This district-level position provides technical expertise in facilities design, engineering, and construction management while supervising maintenance and custodial staff across the district. Candidate must have experience and background information with regards to HVAC / Heating systems in commercial applications
Responsibilities Include: • Overseeing district-wide maintenance, custodial, and grounds operations • Managing upkeep of buildings, landscapes, vehicles, and equipment • Developing and enforcing maintenance schedules • Supervising staff and coordinating contractors and repair services • Ensuring knowledge and oversight of HVAC, electrical, roofing, and other building systems • Assisting with event setup and breakdown • Participating in district safety, security, and administrative meetings • Performing administrative and supervisory duties as assigned by the Superintendent
Qualifications: • Minimum five (5) years of successful maintenance experience in a lead or supervisory role • Eligible for or currently holding an active Pest Management Certification • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills • Knowledge of bid processes, scheduling, and basic computer applications • Valid state driver’s license with good driving record • Ability to pass all required state and federal background checks • Prior supervisory experience preferred
Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12-month position. Salary and benefits in accordance with the current Act 93 Administrative Agreement, commensurate with experience and education.
