Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE /AAA) - DoD Compliance -Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) required About the Role We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco ISE and Centralized AAA solutions to join our team supporting critical DoD programs. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network access control systems in compliance with NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and DoD security requirements. Key Responsibilities * Assess system compliance against NIST and DoD security requirements, including NIST 800-53 controls, DISA STIGs, and SRGs. * Lead the design and deployment of Cisco ISE and Centralized AAA network architecture in alignment with Army and USACE policies. * Configure, manage, and maintain NAC systems to ensure optimal performance and security. * Develop and enforce NAC policies and procedures per DoD standards. * Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for NAC-related issues. * Implement security controls to maintain least-privilege access and protect sensitive data. * Collaborate with IT, network, and security teams to deliver a seamless and secure user experience. * Stay current on emerging security trends and integrate best practices into organizational strategy. Required Skills & Qualifications * Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) and U.S. Citizenship. * * IAT III certification* CISSP, CASP+, CISM, CCSP, SecurityX or similar. * 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on vulnerability management and network security. * Proven expertise in Cisco ISE and Centralized AAA platform configuration, management, and integration. * Strong knowledge of DISA STIGs, SRGs, and NIST 800-53 compliance. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Preferred Skills * Experience in DoD or defense sector environments. * Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Reston, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
