Integrating behavioral health services into a medical setting provides behavioral healthexpertiseto the medical team forassistancein managing the overall health of patients.It also increases access to behavioral health services to a population of patients who otherwise may not seek out services. Introducing an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPCP) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) with interest, training and experience integrating behavioral health services into a specialty care setting. This position is located at MaineHealth Cancer Care and Blood Disorder in Damariscotta, a peaceful riverside location with team members committed to offering compassionate, patient centered care. The integrated behavioral health clinician position is 20 hours and includes benefits.This role is a mixture of care management and clinical responsibilities, with care management as the larger portion.Related functions would include supporting patients in managing their appointments,assistingwith securing transportation to and from appointments,identifyingfinancial resources to support the cost, and addressing other needs that relate to their cancer treatment. The clinical role would include providing screening, assessments, and focused interventions to patients of the practice.Treatment structure includes individual, family, and group work, meeting with patients inpersonand virtually. Support groups forvarious typesof cancer would be useful to thepopulations. Personsinterested in this position must be comfortable working with adults of all ages.Your work is enhanced by being part of a medical team, in addition to collaborative work with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system. Individual supervision, group supervision, and quarterlytrainingsare added benefits of this position. Summary Level I:The role of Behavioral Health Clinician I, working under a conditional license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions. The counselor is also responsible formaintainingclinical records, collaborating with community providers, andparticipatingin team meetings to ensure effective treatment and discharge planning.The Behavioral Health Clinician Iwill be under direct clinical supervision to work towards independent licensure. Level II:The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
