Description Maine Medical CenterClerical/Administrative Support For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. This bonus will be prorated for part-time positions. Please note this bonus is not available for per-diem positions. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth employees are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Summary: The Nursing Unit Secretary supports the Perioperative Department by providing essential clerical, receptionist, and administrative support to ensure efficient day-of-surgery and scheduling operations. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, families, and the perioperative care team, helping to coordinate communication, maintain accurate records, and support smooth patient flow in a fast-paced surgical environment. This position is ideally scheduled five days per week with shifts of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role is located in the Malone Family Tower at the 22 Bramhall Street Portland campus, MaineHealth's flagship hospital, Maine Medical Center. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and efficiency in a high-volume perioperative setting.
