Role Specific Responsibilities:
Maintenance Responsibilities:
* To supervise the maintenance activities of plant and utilities to ensure an effective and high standard of service is provided to the site.
* Ensures equipment is functionally maintained to deliver safe operation
* Demonstrates safety leadership through enforcement and continual improvement of safety regulations and practices
* Manages the rotating equipment reliability program with specific focus on centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, compressors, vacuum pumps and lubrication
* Manages equipment inspection and overall spares program
* To routinely monitor overall standards of performance to identify and then implement areas for improvement.
* To ensure the most efficient use of personnel in accordance with production requirements and in line with the planned maintenance system.
* To ensure that the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is reimplemented and kept up to date.
* Manages on-site contractors to ensure the efficient use of labor resource to assist in the reduction of overall contractors' costs.
* Manage MOC (Management of Change) process for site.
* To undertake other duties as may be required
Business Improvement:
* Active participation in continuous improvement and other lean manufacturing initiatives
* To assist in the training, mentoring and assessment of other team members
* To monitor and control costs within approved limits.
Compliance:
* Complies with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements
* Reports on all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
* Acts in a safe manner at all times
Problem Solving and Innovation:
* Active participation in continuous improvement activities
* Participates in problem-solving
* Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
* Assists in the training, mentoring and assessment of other team members
* Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance
Education:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Millwright knowledge. Pipefitting and welding knowledge a plus.
* Significant experience in rotating equipment

Experience:
* 5 years' supervision (including equipment operation and shift personnel leadership) preferred
* Chemical/petrochemical experience required
* Excellent planning and leadership skills
* Solid understanding of EH&S regulations and practices
* Effective budgeting and performance management experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated strong computer, analytical, and critical thinking skills
* Ability to step in and assist with hands-on repairs/replacements as necessary.
* Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive, physical work such as lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work in a team environment within a multi-functional, organizational structure and exhibit robust interpersonal skills
