PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Project Worker - PGL in our Chicago, Illinois location. This position is represented by Peoples Gas L18007 Union.

Job Responsibilities

As a Seasonal Project Worker you will be responsible for performing compliance and operations duties including Inside Safety Inspections, shut-offs, service crew work, and meter reading tasks. You may be assigned to any of our shop locations throughout the city of Chicago working a Monday-Friday or a Tuesday-Saturday shift. This is a seasonal opportunity, typically February - December and is subject to seasonal layoff. Use of your personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement may be required in lieu of a Company-issued vehicle. This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with UWUA Local 18007

The Business Unit operation hours are:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Tuesday - Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Monday - Friday 3:30pm -12:00 Midnight
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
  • Valid drivers license
  • 1 or more years of experience in the following:
    • Manual labor using hand tools, power tools, air tools, or small heavy equipment
    • Working with the public, preferable in a customer facing position
    • Computer functionality such as operating a keyboard, mouse, navigating screens and data entry

Minimum Posting Range: $24.12

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
