Janitor / Custodial Staff (Part-Time) Location: NIS Headquarters Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor for a part-time position at our headquarters. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment for employees and visitors. Hours: 5 pm to 9 pm Monday through Friday. Primary Responsibilities: Perform general cleaning throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, and restrooms Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors and carpets Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, blinds, and surfaces Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock paper products and supplies Clean mirrors, windows, doors, countertops, and tabletops Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling Disinfect frequently touched surfaces to maintain health and safety standards Maintain janitorial equipment and ensure storage areas remain clean and organized Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify management when replenishment is needed Identify and report unsafe conditions, needed repairs, or maintenance issues Follow established safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong time management and organizational skills Attention to detail and a professional demeanor Ability to follow schedules, instructions, and safety/security procedures Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment Preferred Qualifications: Prior janitorial or custodial experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to successfully pass a background check US Citizen Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, and handle equipment to clean various areas, including high and low spaces.
