Senior Client Project Manager

The Project Management Office within the Professional Services department is responsible for delivering a positive and efficient experience during complex technical projects and implementations for external clients within the Thomson Reuters Corporates industry. This includes managing the projects' planning, design, progress, and closure, holding project staff accountable for delivering results, as well as serving as the primary point of contact for both external firms and internal teams.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with direct tax experience to join our Professional Services team as an Senior Client Project Manager, focusing on implementations and project management of Thomson Reuters CoCounsel and ONESOURCE Direct tax technology solutions. This role will be focused on delivering project management services for both technical engagements for clients and will be working with both technical teams and end users.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Senior Client Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage multiple CoCounsel and ONESOURCE implementation projects simultaneouslyacross all phases, with primary focus on tax, accounting, and legal firm deployments, while shaping best practices for AI solution implementations within the PMO
  • Lead large-scale, multi-country rolloutsmanaging complexities of global deployments including regional compliance requirements, language considerations, time zone coordination, and cultural differences across Thomson Reuters' product portfolio
  • Develop comprehensive project management plans, RACI matrices, and coordinate training and communications strategiesthat drive stakeholder engagement and user adoption throughout the project lifecycle
  • Set and manage expectations with clients, stakeholders, and project teamsthroughout the project lifecycle, leading projects through flexible approaches (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) that align with stakeholder goals and working with change management resources to ensure comprehensive adoption strategies
  • Deliver projects within scope, time, and cost constraintsto agreed quality levels while managing budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and monitoring progress across multiple projects
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issuesthat may impact project success, including AI-related considerations such as data privacy concerns, integration with existing workflows, and user acceptance
  • Attain product/process knowledge to communicate capabilities and limitationsto diverse audiences, identify upsell opportunities within assigned projects, and foster continuous improvement by introducing innovations to PMO processes

About You

You are a fit for the role of Senior Client Project Manager if you have/are:

  • Experience in legal, tax, or accounting industrywith understanding of professional services firm operations, workflows, and pain points
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Englishand based in the United States with ability to work 3 days a week in a TR office and support global teams across multiple time zones with domestic and international travel up to 35-40% annually
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiencewith project management certification(s) preferred
  • 5-7 years of direct client-facing project management experienceincluding working directly with senior project leadership and C-suite executives
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating comprehensive project artifactsincluding detailed project plans, RACI matrices, stakeholder management frameworks, and coordinating training programs and communications plans for technology implementations
  • Experience managing technology adoption initiativesparticularly for transformative technologies or AI/ML solutions, with familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their practical implementation in professional services environments
  • Experience with large-scale, multi-country technology rolloutsinvolving coordination across diverse regions, cultures, and regulatory environments

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
