Responsibilities The Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs Informatics Analyst produces operational financial and data and analysis to support operational, financial, purchasing and strategic decision making of the Pharmacy Enterprise. The informatics analyst oversees the monthly development and distribution of pharmacy metrics, including pharmacy financial dashboards, drug expense and drug charge summary reports, inventory management reports, and patient assistance program savings. Develops drug utilization reports to identify opportunities to improve drug costs and cost-effective prescribing. The drug utilization reports would also support tracking and trending the impact of changes in operational practice to reduce or improve drug utilization associated with a given drug use management initiative. Conducts an environmental scan of the pharmacy industry for key metrics and measurement to benchmark the business operations to best business practices and internal business objectives. Develops and maintains 340B reporting, including Clarity reports that supply data to TPAs. Supports the P&T Committee with pharmacoeconomic and value analyses on drugs considered for addition to the Drug Formulary or changes in guidelines and/or restrictions of drugs currently on the Drug Formulary. The Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs Informatics Analyst will lead and co-own complex initiatives with minimal oversight, driving project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery. Serve as a collaborative leader across cross functional groups without direct supervisory responsibilities, providing guidance, expertise, and direction to ensure successful outcomes. The Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs Informatics Analyst will administer programs and processes that support enterprise pharmacy purchasing and regulatory compliance. Maintain awareness of evolving regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies, ensuring business practices remain aligned with all applicable requirements. The Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs Informatics Analyst will independently implement technical and operational solutions, including enhancements to purchasing systems, regulatory tracking tools, and informatics platforms. Translate business needs into functional specifications and validate that implemented solutions meet established objectives. The Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs Informatics Analyst will analyze and interpret operational, financial, and compliance related data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Apply advanced critical thinking skills to drive evidence-based decision making and recommend strategic actions. The Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs Informatics Analyst will partner with internal stakeholders such as pharmacy operations, supply chain, compliance, and IS to align objectives and maintain high quality standards as well as communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
