Overview
The Vice President, Marketing leads marketing strategy, portfolio positioning, and go-to-market execution across Myriad's businesses. This leader is accountable for driving growth, adoption, and brand leadership across these highly differentiated, patient-impacting product lines. Operating within Myriad's centralized marketing model, this VP owns business-unit marketing strategy while leveraging centralized capabilities (Digital Marketing, Brand, Communications, Marketing Operations, and Analytics) to execute at scale. The role requires a sophisticated marketer who can translate complex science and clinical value into clear, compliant, and compelling narratives for diverse customer audiences. This is a senior leadership role for a marketer who can balance strategy and execution, partner deeply with commercial and medical stakeholders, and lead high-performing teams in regulated healthcare markets.
Responsibility
Portfolio & Growth Strategy
Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for Myriad's Oncology portfolios, including brand positioning, segmentation, and lifecycle management. Translate business objectives into integrated marketing plans that drive adoption, utilization, and revenue growth. Define and evolve value propositions grounded in clinical evidence, outcomes, and customer insights.
Go-to-Market Leadership
Lead go-to-market strategy for new product launches, feature enhancements, and indication expansions. Partner closely with Sales, Market Access, Product Management, and Medical Affairs to ensure alignment from strategy through execution. Oversee development of compliant promotional messaging and field enablement tools.
Centralized Marketing Model Partnership
Set clear priorities and requirements for centralized marketing teams, including Digital Marketing, Brand, Communications, and Marketing Operations. Ensure Oncology marketing programs are executed consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with enterprise standards. Balance enterprise scale with the unique needs of each business line.
Customer, Data & Insights
Leverage market research, customer insights, and analytics to inform strategy and optimize performance. Establish KPIs tied to awareness, adoption, growth, and return on marketing investment. Use data to continuously refine messaging, channel strategy, and investment decisions.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team supporting Myriad's Oncology portfolio. Build marketing capabilities across brand strategy, lifecycle marketing, and integrated campaign planning. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership
Serve as a senior marketing partner to Oncology business leaders. Provide clear, concise updates and recommendations to the SVP of Marketing and executive stakeholders. Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and Privacy teams to ensure compliant promotion in a highly regulated environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred. 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, including senior leadership roles in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, or related industries. Proven success leading brand, portfolio, or business-unit marketing in regulated environments. Strong understanding of healthcare customers and evidence-based marketing. Experience working effectively in matrixed or centralized marketing models. Excellent executive presence and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Oncology or adjacent care areas. Experience supporting multiple products or franchises simultaneously. Track record of successful product launches and lifecycle management.
