Estimator (Federal Contracting) Summary/Objective The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for construction projects with a focus on federal contracting. This position requires a solid understanding of construction methodologies, scope analyses, and proposal development. The Estimator plays a key role in securing projects by working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to develop comprehensive and competitive bids that align with government requirements and company standards. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not currently have direct supervisory responsibilities but may lead or coordinate with junior estimators or administrative staff on a project-by-project basis. Work Environment The work environment will primarily be office-based with occasional visits to construction sites. Site visits may include walking on uneven terrain, exposure to varying weather conditions, and navigating active construction areas. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional after hours required to meet proposal deadlines. Travel Travel may be required up to 20% of the time for site visits, pre-bid meetings, or client engagements. Most travel will be domestic, and project related. Required Education and Experience
