General Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst I supports the organization's ERP and integrated business systems by providing day-to-day application support, assisting with integrations, and partnering with business units to enhance system functionality. This role plays a key part in maintaining system reliability, improving business processes, and ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and an interest in learning business systems such as NetSuite and its integrations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for NetSuite and integrated systems, resolving user-reported issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with end users to identify opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, and integration needs.
  • Assist with the configuration, testing, and deployment of system updates, enhancements, and integrations between NetSuite and third-party applications.
  • Support documentation efforts, including user guides, process flows, and system reference materials.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions and help translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Conduct basic system testing to validate functionality and ensure changes meet user and business expectations.
  • Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to maintain data integrity and system reliability.
  • Stay informed on NetSuite features, updates, and best practices to continuously improve system performance and user adoption.
  • Provide user training and ongoing support to improve utilization and efficiency of ERP systems.
  • Assist with cross-functional projects as assigned, supporting technology initiatives that drive business process improvements.

Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business systems analysis, ERP support, or a related technical role (NetSuite experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, and interest in developing expertise in configuration, customization, and reporting.
  • Understanding of system integrations and data flow between platforms (experience with using REST APIs and JSON and tools such as Celigo, HubSpot, Magento, or Avalara a plus).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate technical information for non-technical users.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with SQL or reporting tools is a plus.
  • NetSuite certifications or training preferred but not required.
