DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will oversee the operations of PENNDOT Welcome Centers, ensuring that your team delivers accurate and efficient information to travelers. You will represent the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by warmly greeting and assisting visitors, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the state's highways, transportation systems, attractions, recreational areas, events, weather, accommodations, and tourist sites. Your responsibilities will also include enhancing public relations, facilitating internal and external communications to optimize operations, and participating in quarterly meetings focused on events, programs, and services. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Tourist Information Counselor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in work involving public contact; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
