Job Overview:
Supervises and coordinates daily operation of production with responsibility for achieving maximum quality and cost effectiveness in an on time and efficient manner. Actively participates in all areas of employment, performance evaluations, associate relations, and associate development while promoting total employee involvement.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment through regular inspections, accident reporting, and EH&S compliance with IR and regulatory standards.
- Lead Lean Transformation initiatives to improve safety, quality, inventory, productivity, delivery, and employee engagement.
- Apply Lean tools (standard work, visual management, problem solving) to eliminate waste and enhance customer value.
- Support site quality systems to improve customer satisfaction, DPPM, and first-pass yield and warranty performance.
- Supervise and develop production associates to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals, including performance evaluations and training recommendations
- Manage production schedules and material flow to meet deadlines and maintain efficient operations.
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication, schedule management, and responsiveness to special requirements.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture with strong cross-functional relationships and a focus on behaviors as well as results.
Requirements:
Core Competencies:
- Lean/Operational Excellence leadership with experience driving transformation in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze information and lead change initiatives.
- Experience supporting operations across multiple departments or functional areas.
- Proficiency in standard work, visual management, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Willingness and ability to learn new responsibilities and grow within the organization.
- Ability to meet physical and safety requirements, including standing/walking, occasional lifting, and use of PPE in an industrial environment.
Preferences:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or currently seeking a degree. Direct relevant experience will be considered.
- Preferred experience with leading leaders of direct reports
- Oracle or other WMS experience preferred.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
- Fully site based
- Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
- Be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
