Summary
Responsible for patient care and support within our hospital's outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Essential Functions
-Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
-Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
-Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
-Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
-Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
-Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Education

  • Associate's degree Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials

  • Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts required

  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred

Experience

  • 0-1 years of clinical nursing experience required

  • 1-2 years ambulatory care or outpatient experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.



Given the fast-paced nature of urgent care, prior experience is strongly preferred in areas such as urgent care or emergency room settings, blood draws and IV placement, and at least 1-2 years in ambulatory or outpatient care. We are also open to RNs with prior nursing experience in other high-volume acute care settings, as these backgrounds help ensure efficient, high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
