Job Description:

Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Retirement Plan administers multiple complex defined contribution plans and provides support for defined benefit plans. Uses reporting tools and data analysis skills to monitor plans and ensure compliance with plan documents and ERISA/DOL requirements. Works closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and external vendors to resolve escalatedretirement plan issues and support various projects. Also supports compensation team on dataanalysis and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Administer 401(k) plans and certain pension plan functions. Partner with plan vendorsto ensure compliance, implement plan changes/new groups as needed, troubleshootproblems and process non-recurring specialized transactions. Respond to escalatedinquiries from employees, HR representatives, and third parties. Participate in RFPs,implementations, and other projects.
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple payroll systems and recordkeepers to ensurecompliant operation of plans. Perform data analysis to support business needsincluding labor negotiations and benchmarking.
  • Coordinate annual compliance events including: annual report filing and SAR/FeeDisclosure and SPD distribution, audits, and year-end testing for 401(k) plans. Providesupport for quarterly Benefits Committee meetings.
  • Compose/maintain participant communications and presentations for employees andHR. Develop and execute annual education plan with 401(k) recordkeeper. Promotefinancial wellness offerings and education on company intranet.
  • Support the compensation team with data analysis and regular audits of data.

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with HRIS database reporting preferred
  • Knowledge of ERISA/DOL/IRS compliance as it relates to benefit plans
  • Knowledge of 401(k) plan administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field is required.
  • Certification as an Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) through IFEBP or as a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) is preferred.

Essential Functions
Physical Tasks

  • Regular visual acuity to view a computer screen and read documentation and reports.
  • Regular manual dexterity and repetitive hand motions for keyboarding, data entry, and use of standard office equipment.
  • Minimal physical exertion. Pushing/pulling, balancing, stooping, grasping, reaching, lifting, climbing, walking, and kneeling/crouching/crawling are not generally required for this role.


Mental Tasks

  • Ability to think, concentrate, and maintain focus for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents in English.
  • Ability to write complex documents in English.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively in a professional setting.
  • Ability to reason, apply judgment, and make sound decisions.

Compensation and Benefits

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $80,640 to $120,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final offer amounts may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
