Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Allergy Clinic - Royal Oak Contingent - Minimum of 36 hours per 6 week schedule. Clinic hours range between 7am - 5:30pm - No weekends/holidays. Responsibilities Include: In-basket, electronic messaging, allergy injections, allergy testing, Scheduling, ordering inventory, mixing of serums and spirols. Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient or clinic experience. Good phlebotomy skills, Allergy experience helpful. Pediatric care experience helpful. GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principle investigator. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred. Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
