DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will answer and return calls from the public regarding clearance related matters and inform callers of the necessary action steps when inquiring about clearance verifications and determinations. You will be expected to exhibit professionalism, empathy, compassion and a high level of customer service when engaging with customers on the phone or in-person at the Clearance Window to alleviate their concerns in accordance with the Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF's) mission statement. Performing data entry into the appropriate electronic repository from PA Child Abuse History Certification, National Sex Offender Registry, and Consolidated Eligibility Letter applications will be included in your duties. Your attention to detail skills will be key as this position reviews, analyzes and performs searches by comparing information in several databases. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week after an in-office training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
