Pay Range: $ 50,000 - $65,000

The pay range is based on consideration of criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education and skills. Marquette Bank reserves the right to offer the selected applicant a salary commensurate with the applicant's qualification, experience, education and skills.

Position Summary:

The Multi Family Loan Processor provides comprehensive support in processing multi-family loan applications. This role involves coordinating documentation, verifying compliance, and ensuring timely and accurate loan closings. The processor interacts with customers, attorneys, title companies, and internal departments to facilitate smooth loan operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process new loans including ordering credit reports, flood certifications, title work, appraisals, and TRVs.
  • Collaborate with customers to obtain any missing documentation.
  • Enter new opportunities into the Baker Hill system and scan files to Credit Administration for analysis.
  • Request and review LLC documents, trust agreements, payoff letters, and releases.
  • Verify business entity status via the Illinois Secretary of State website.
  • Forward legal documents to attorneys for review.
  • Review and clear title commitments.
  • Conduct initial review of loan presentations.
  • Contact insurance agents to obtain evidence of insurance, ensuring Marquette Bank is listed as mortgage/loss payee.
  • Prepare invoices for Accounts Payable for attorney and EPA fees, maintaining copies for loan and servicing files.
  • Coordinate with documentation/closer to ensure loan files are complete and accurate.
  • Assist loan servicing in clearing general ledger items prior to month-end.
  • Review and sign off on release deeds and final title policies.
  • Crosstrain on the Closer position.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding servicing and payoff requests.
  • Prepare Adverse Action Letters.
  • Support audit file reviews.
  • Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations, adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
  • Complete all required BAI Compliance Training.
  • Perform job-related responsibilities that support departmental and organizational goals, consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.

Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General office and customer service experience.
  • Sales environment experience preferred.
  • Proficient typing and clerical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Baker Hill and Laser Pro is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with sales, credit, and closing personnel.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to manage sensitive business situations.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
