Pay Range: $50,000 - $71,000

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to be part of the Operations team. This position is an IT (Computer) Operator responsible for running computer operations at company Data Centre as well as ensuring that computer systems and hardware are in good working order. Their tasks include maintaining work order schedules, performing routine maintenance by rebooting systems per schedule and on requests along with a myriad of other tasks. This postion is weekend 12 hour night shift located at company Data center with 24/7/365 shift coverage. Responsible for compliance with established company standards and best practices. Consults with other groups, end users, and management to maintain normal Data Center uptime.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):



  • Maintain Data Centre up-time by monitoring all systems and calling responsible groups for support in a timely manner when process or problem can not be handled by operator.
  • Respond professionally and timely to customer problems, questions, and requirements. Ensure customer satisfaction by performing
  • Monitor all critical segments of DC environmentals and contact appropriate vendor in the case of issues
  • Monitor and perform production control activities in support of the Automated Job Scheduling environment.
  • Update Operation manuals and documentation as needed
  • Escalate any operation's issues through proper channels.
  • Provides proper shift coverage for absent operator in coordination with Lead Computer Operator
  • Communicate with vendor and track DC environmentals maintenance (AC units, UPS and Generators)
  • Assist in the receipt of Help Desk calls and forward problem call to appropriate party.
  • Properly log all events that fall outside normal operating procedures.
  • Work with manager to establish personal training and career development plans.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • Associate Degree in IT or related field or equivalent IT related experience. Minimum 3 Years' experience in a similar technical role.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Fast-paced corporate office environment. Some stress may occur. Due to the nature of the support role, 7x24x365 availability can be expected
