Salary: $95K - $100K andeligible to earn an annual bonus

2nd shift - 2pm to midnight

This role offers the opportunity to pursue your passion for maintenance while expanding into office responsibilities. You will gain insights into budget management and the P&L aspects of the business. While you will continue to work closely with the team and assist mechanics directly, approximately 75% of your time will be dedicated to office-related tasks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Promotes a safe work environment in-line with our Corporate Core value of safety first.
  • Builds a strong team environment between maintenance personnel and operations department.
  • Lead, train, and mentor Preventative Maintenance Technicians
  • Ensure location is in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure proper completion of repair orders by all technicians.
  • Responsible for the management ofinventoryand maintenance of equipment.
  • Trains and assistsTechnicianson methods for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.
  • Prioritizes maintenance based on operational needs and Technician skills.
  • Tests vehicles to troubleshoot problems and/or tests repairs to ensure proper and safe completion.
  • Communicate regularly with the fellow supervisor and District Maintenance Manager.
  • Assists Maintenance Manager in monthlyfinancial projectionsand budget.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must haveability to plan,budget, schedule, and supervise multiple projects from concept to completion.
  • Must have working knowledge of OSHA andDOT compliancerequirements.
  • Must have ability to motivate staff and build a team friendly environment.
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical andcommunication skillsand ability to achieve cost effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years mechanic experience with truck, light orheavy equipmentmaintenance and repair. (Wasteindustry experience preferred)
  • Ability to train and motivate staff a must.
  • Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic andelectrical systems.
  • Trade or Technical SchoolCertificatepreferred.High School or Equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in vehicle andequipment diagnosisand repair.
