What We're Looking For: An experienced and detail-oriented Director of Housekeeping to lead our team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record in managing housekeeping operations in a hotel environment. What You'll Do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain housekeeping standards and procedures to ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.
- Oversees daily assignments of housekeeping staff while analyzing business needs and making staff or procedural adjustments as necessary.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes designed to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
- Maintain optimal housekeeping staffing levels to ensure peak performance and supervision; to include interview and selection of all housekeeping personnel and leadership team.
- Evaluate team member performance, identify areas for improvement and mentor team members and leaders to aid in their advancement.
- Approve department purchase requisitions and oversee storeroom inventories to maintain adequate par levels.
- Coordinate interdepartmental activities within the hotel to maintain overall cleanness and efficiency.
- Coordinate special projects related to housekeeping as directed by hotel leadership.
- Keep leadership and team members informed of significant departmental updates, operational information, and guest requests through daily, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
- Oversee the Team Member uniform process to include, 3rd party uniforms and laundry services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Experience Includes (Qualifications):
- Five to seven years of progressive rooms experience required including of that one to two years experience leading managers.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required.
- Previous experience with property management systems, Opera Property Management System preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes designed to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time required.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift items weight up to 25lbs.
- Ability to work weekends, evening, holidays as necessary/required.
