We are looking for an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler.

This position will be responsible for generating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule, planning production activities, and aggregating information for resource planning. This position interfaces closely with Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure production dates are met. This role will be located at our Bethlehem Pennsylvania facility.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide scheduling expertise to drive 100% on time delivery to customers.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production of orders and projects in our production facilities.
  • Evaluate needed materials, work centers, and capacity to ensure production readiness. Mitigate as needed to drive on time completion.
  • Provide scheduling input for proposals that anticipate order timing, supplier availability, and future order execution resource availability to ensure quoted lead-times are appropriate for quoted scope, achievable, and meet or exceed customer speed expectations.
  • Work with Proposal and Project teams at order handoff to convert bid schedules into detailed and achievable order schedules with areas of scheduling risk highlighted and appropriate mitigation options to achieve on-time delivery are articulated and put in place.
  • Schedule part requirements in SAP to drive all purchases and shop orders, work with Procurement to ensure supplier deliveries meet production plans and incorporate latest expediting information into production plans.
  • Continually optimize schedule based on inputs and look for creative solutions as needed to accommodate changes in priorities such as emergency and other unplanned activities or unforeseen issues while still meeting customer commitments.
  • Support prioritization of part inspection requirements, aligned with schedule priority.
  • Maintain flawless working relationships with production floor personnel.
  • Collaborate with other Rotoflow scheduling personnel to ensure plans and priorities are aligned especially as resources and production are flexed to support all incoming demands.
  • Forecast capacity and manpower needs and utilization based on current and future work.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline preferred. Experience considered in lieu of a technical degree
  • Minimum 5 years of resource and production planning experience with discrete equipment manufacturing or similar
  • Solid understanding of SAP Production Planning module preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize work to accommodate changing needs of business
  • Proven ability to learn and understand the specifics of the processes and inter-related steps that are required to fulfill a variety of orders from design, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing
