POSITION SUMMARY

A Process Engineeris a key player for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production of chemical products.

This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, enhance process reliability, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Located at our Florence, Kentucky site, this role reports to the Senior Engineering/Maintenance Manager and works with the Engineering team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

A Process Engineeris responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Designs, implements, and improves bottling and packaging processes for chemical products to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality

  • Analyzes process deviations, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues

  • Creates and maintains detailed process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Ensures all processes comply with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and internal quality specifications.

  • Evaluates and recommends bottling and packaging equipment and automation solutions

  • Oversees equipment installation, validation, and qualification

  • Leads and oversee Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives aimed at waste reduction, cost savings, and process efficiency

  • Works closely with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and corporate teams to align manufacturing processes with business goals

  • Possesses a strong knowledge of chemical handling, bottling, filling, conveyance, and packaging processes.

  • Utilizes experience with process simulation, data analysis, and process control systems to streamline production processes

  • Promotes safe work practices and environmental responsibility within the manufacturing environment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, or related field

  • At least 3 years of process engineering experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or product bottling environment

  • Working knowledge with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA), quality standards (ISO,GMP), and process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen

Highly Preferred

  • Certification in Six Sigma (Greeb Belt or higher)
