Software Engineer III

Contract: 12 Months

Location: SeaTac, WA


Job Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer (Software Engineer III) is a subject matter expert in full-stack engineering and plays a key individual-contributor role. You will work closely with product owners in an agile environment, using strong technical judgment to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable custom applications. This role ships software frequently (daily to bi-weekly) and contributes to strategic technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a full-stack engineering SME on a scrum delivery team, collaborating with product owners, designers, and engineers.
  • Coach and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Solve complex technical and business challenges using innovative and creative approaches.
  • Architect, engineer, test, deploy, and support highly scalable, maintainable, end-to-end software applications.
  • Ensure high-quality software delivery by:
  • Writing clean, maintainable code
  • Using pair programming, TDD, and CI/CD practices
  • Stay current with industry trends and evaluate how evolving technologies can benefit the organization.
  • Partner cross-functionally to contribute to technology strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the team's business domain, customer experience, and systems.



Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience (or related field).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • OR 2 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with:
  • Test Automation
  • Cloud computing
  • Building custom, high-scale, n-tier applications using OO languages
  • Developing modern web or mobile applications
  • Using design patterns to create clean and performant code
  • Git version control
  • TDD, unit testing, pair programming, XP practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence teams with new ideas and technologies
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and customer service orientation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age 18+
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building high-scale distributed systems in cloud environments
  • Experience deploying to and supporting Kubernetes environments
  • Experience with DevOps practices & tools
  • Experience working in agile/lean methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • .NET WebAPI
  • .NET Core
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles
