The Supervisor, Generation Financial Support is a senior level professional with knowledge of FP&A principles, practices, concepts, and theories. The incumbent works closely with the Manager of FP&A and Power Plant leadership to build and maintain financial models and forecasts that enable the business to achieve their goals and manage financial results. The incumbent is responsible for carrying out FP&A activities with generation management such as developing operating plans, capital investments, forecasts, financial analysis and reporting, and supervising accurate financial closings. The incumbent collaborates with multiple stakeholders at both corporate and plant levels. The incumbent leads continual improvement of FP&A processes and systems, and mentors and develops staff with FP&A responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities - Contribute to FP&A and plant strategy development and execution of annual plans that drive year-over-year improvements; lead and manage all financial accounting, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and the management accounting/reporting process for assigned plants - Review and advise plant leaders on all financial/budgetary requirements and develop financial goals in partnership with plant and Cleco corporate leadership; ensure plant goals and initiatives are developed in line with company values, strategic goals, and business plans; effectively communicate financial risks and opportunities to plant leadership - Facilitate capital project initiation, vetting and priority ranking with respective plan management teams; ensure capital project documentation and approval is done within the compliance guidelines - Provide joint owners with respective budgets and reports as required by the management agreements - Lead staff in reviewing the consolidated monthly financial results, challenge assumptions, and provide insight to key stakeholders; prepare and update functional and plant level forecasts - Support decision-making by providing financial modeling and analysis to FP&A Manager and plant leadership; provide variance analysis for actual versus budget business plan and prior periods - Monitor and ensure adherence to the annual budget schedule and quarterly forecast updates, assist with preparing/distributing budget calendar and instructions, planning appropriate review meetings and assisting with providing targets - Use data and analytics to support continuous improvements to enhance program quality; participate in the integration of current systems (e.g., SAP) and analytical techniques to streamline current operations and improve efficiencies; assist with the integration of new technologies/current systems and analytical techniques to enhance or streamline current budgeting and planning processes; assist in the development and refinement of ERM/SAP functionality for FP&A - Lead process automation and design by identifying areas to reduce routine manual tasks; assist with the development and implementation of functional and plant KPIs, management dashboards and/or performance metrics - Develop and evaluate employees to enhance their performance and development; communicate individual and team performance expectations with regular progress review and hold staff accountable to defined project milestones - Champion a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence

Qualifications Required Education & Experience - Bachelor's or Master's degree (Accounting, Business or Finance preferred) - 5+ years of related experience in FP&A or similar functions - 2+ years People Management experience preferred - Experience and ability to lead FP&A staff across projects towards a common vision - Experience with financial Systems (e.g., SAP) preferred - Experience with Microsoft tools and applications required - Knowledge of GAAP, Internal Control processes
