Description

As the Senior Sales Manager for Liberty Plastics, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, monitoring, and driving strategic sales plans for Liberty Plastics. This role is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of the sales of Building Products within our organization. The role includes strategic planning and leadership responsibilities to ensure the unit meets its goals. You will strategically manage the sale of products and/or services through management of the Liberty Plastics sales teams, including independent sales representatives when applicable, along with direct sales activities for key accounts and new market growth.

This full-time position reports directly to the General Manager of Liberty Plastics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the Building Products segment to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and deliver sustainable growth, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Establish and manage short-term and long-term business plans, incorporating market intelligence and competitive analysis to anticipate trends and mitigate risks.
  • Identify and capitalize on new product opportunities, innovative applications, and strategic partnerships to drive business development and strengthen market position.
  • Maintain deep awareness of industry developments, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead all aspects of financial management for the Building Products sales function, including forecasting, budgeting, and full P&L accountability, ensuring performance against financial commitments.
  • Monitor and analyze financial results and key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Drive revenue and margin growth through strategic account management, new market penetration, and targeted channel development initiatives.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners to ensure exceptional service, satisfaction, and long-term loyalty.
  • Represent Liberty Plastics at high-profile customer engagements, industry conferences, and trade events to enhance brand visibility and strengthen strategic relationships.
  • Provide leadership and direction to sales and customer service teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development.
  • Define and enforce performance targets, ensuring team objectives are achieved and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and operations to synchronize production capabilities with market demand and customer requirements.
  • Champion process excellence and continuous improvement across sales operations, customer experience, quoting, and order management functions.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to influence organizational decision-making.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues and maintain a high standard of service delivery.
  • Other duties, as assigned to support business objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive business-to-business sales experience, with a proven record of driving revenue growth.
  • 5+ years of successful sales management experience, including leadership of high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable growth targets and deliver strategic business objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations and materials, with proven expertise in the plastics industry.
  • Strong proficiency in presentations, negotiations, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and conflict resolution.
  • Advanced skills in office productivity software, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and contact management tools.
  • Experience in leadership, team development, and performance management.
  • Solid background in financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Proven success in customer relationship management and retention strategies.
  • Operational and project management experience with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across senior management, sales, plant, and corporate teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term growth plans while managing tactical priorities.
  • Highly collaborative team player who can positively influence both strategic initiatives and individual contributions.
  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Strong aptitude for systems thinking and process design, with the ability to create streamlined, efficient workflows.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $154,309- $192,886per year plus eligibility in annual bonus program. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses or deferred compensation options.
