Job Description

Benefits:

Salary:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $190,000 - $215,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary:

The Director, Sales Distribution is responsible for establishing strategic account development in the distributor sales channel. They will drive profitable growth through increasing product diversity with distributor customers and retention of current partners. This role will also oversees sales professionals working with all levels of distribution partners, from our strategic to local customers. This role will require 60 - 70% travel.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and develop product support or solution planning, including pricing strategies, service level agreement and strategic partnerships.
  • Accountable for distributor revenue and margin, budget creation and innovation projects while monitoring and tracking product quality, forecasting and creating/ executing plans for applicable segments.
  • Establish performance goals for the distribution team and hold them accountable to achievement.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators and present results to internal and external stakeholders of successes and areas of improvements.
  • Establish a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of distribution, including business/customers' needs, while considering the competition and industry dynamics, to develop and implement new enhanced services and solutions.
  • Responsible for forecasting and sales tracking.
  • Negotiate volume, contracts, and pricing agreements with principles and executives at key distribution accounts as needed to support the sales professional.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product Management to produce and optimize sales materials and training programs to expand business within the distribution channel.
  • Strategize sales plans for short and long term objectives.
  • Plan and execute trade show appearances.
  • Recommend innovation opportunities that could come from internal development or identification of strategic acquisition targets.
  • Foster an environment of teamwork; emphasize the importance of internal collaboration to meet and exceed customers' expectations.
  • Develop a high-performing team of Sales Professionals through training and growth of team members within the region.
  • Responsible for talent management and employee lifecycle activities, from hiring to terminating.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

Experience:

  • 7+ years in Sales or related experience in a distributor environment preferred. Minimum 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Financial Acumen with the ability to analyze data and sales statistics to forecast and translate results to better solutions.
  • Strong experience in growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development and business planning.
  • Experience in aspects of sales, including growth strategies, account development and business planning
  • CRM and ERP system knowledge
