We are looking for a Customer Relationship Specialist to help us by leading the Vendor of Record process, driving the facilitation of Flatbed Distribution Center (FDC), and managing special orders. As a Trex Customer Relationship Specialist, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to oversee proper order placement, allocation, shipment, and receipt of goods. This role is a key member of our Retail Sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Support & Vendor Management:



  • Lead the Vendor of Record process, managing the relationship with Home Depot, distributors, and Trex internal teams (including IT, Accounting, and Marketing).
  • Failure Notifications: Monitor operational failures and ensure timely resolution, communicating with relevant departments.
  • PO Tracking: Track and ensure proper placement and delivery of Purchase Orders (POs) in coordination with Home Depot and distributors.
  • FDC Invoice Tracking (AP/AR): Manage invoice tracking for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • EDI Enablement: Oversee Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes to streamline communication and data exchange with partners.
  • FDC Forecasting: Support demand forecasting for FDC to ensure accurate order management and inventory planning.
  • IPR Communication: Facilitate communication related to Import/Export Process Requirements (IPR), ensuring compliance.
  • Distributor Pricing & BuyTrex Ordering: Ensure accurate distributor pricing and manage procurement via the BuyTrex ordering system.
  • FDC Pricing: Work with the pricing team to maintain FDC pricing structures.


Accounting & Payment Processing:



  • PO and Payment Processing: Enter POs and manage payment processing to third-party vendors and distributors, ensuring timely payments.
  • Retailer Deductions and Claims: Work with the Trex accounting team to resolve retailer deductions, payments, and claims.
  • Monthly Accruals & Budget Management: Track team budget and process monthly payments and accruals, maintaining financial records accurately.


Cross-functional Collaboration:



  • Partner with Home Depot, distributors, and Trex teams to drive initiatives that support key sales and performance goals.
  • Coordinate monthly executional priorities with the TAR team, including RAP sheets, special projects, and serving as the main point of contact for TAR inquiries.
  • Main point of contact for internal teams, including marketing, customer care, and accounting, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues.
  • Represent Trex in handling disputes and complaints related to Home Depot orders, maintaining professional relationships with retail partners.


Analysis & Reporting:



  • Sales Data Analysis: Pull, analyze, and interpret weekly sales reports from Home Depot Supplier Hub and Sales Analyst tools to track performance and identify issues.
  • Order & Execution Tracking: Monitor and resolve discrepancies in sales data and orders, ensuring issues are addressed based on analysis.
  • Big Box Merchandising: Track and manage the execution of literature and merchandising within the retail environment.


Process Improvement & Miscellaneous:



  • Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements across operations.
  • Vendor Record Management: Continuously develop and implement improvements for the Vendor of Record process.
  • Retail Merchandising Management: Manage JDE accounts, Tar Tools sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and website management (BuyTrex).
  • Quote Center and Item Set-Up: Oversee the setup and maintenance of products in the Quote Center, PIM, and IDM.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires 10% overnight travel for customer meetings, trainings, and conferences. A valid driver's license is required.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for individuals with a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and 2 years of sales experience. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience as a data analyst. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and data analytics skills.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
