As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Specialist in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a strong visible presence, and responding to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, both inside and outside the industrial location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity within the premises.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and client policy.
• Support emergency response protocols, including reporting hazards or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors to provide assistance and information as needed, while upholding security-related standards.
• Carry and operate assigned security-related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
