Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Support Specialist I is responsible for providing essential loan support functions to the Credit Union members and team members for all consumer, mortgage and commercial loan types.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Service all loan portfolios using Verve's Loan Servicing system. Functions include but are not limited to post-closing reviews, payment processing, account maintenance, data entry, and report processing.
  • Communicate with members and team members to answer questions regarding loan functions.
  • Quote payoffs and paydowns for all mortgage loans.
  • Assist in applying investor and participation payments according to loan types, along with any disbursements.
  • Perform payment corrections or adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with members and insurance companies on any insurance claims.
  • Work with members and team members on advancements on Commercial Lines of Credit.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Monitor and update loan information requests, including statement types, due date changes, late fee reversals, and rate changes.
  • Assist with processing sold participation settlements.
  • Work closely with title companies to ensure a timely response for Final Title Policies.
  • Assist the team in uploading Credit Presentations and updating loans in the core system.
  • Complete requests for partial releases, modifications, or subordinations.
  • Scan final documentation for any loan type into the proper imaging systems.
  • Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as related to this position.
  • Maintain a professional image of the credit union when dealing with members: provide friendly, helpful assistance and maintain member confidentiality.
  • Ensure all duties are performed in compliance with State/Federal regulations and Verve policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of relatable experience is preferred. Financial industry experience is highly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Work Environment: Business office, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand at a desk the majority of the workday; talk or hear; stand or walk occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is typically utilizing a computer, keyboard and phone. May occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
