This position is a hybrid role, 3 days minimum in our Bala Cynwyd office. Position Summary Pep Boys is seeking a talented and creative junior level Interior Designer to join our Design Team. This new role will be instrumental in implementing the roll-out of Pep Boy's new interior aesthetics and functionality of Pep Boys' ground-up projects and interior renovations. The Interior Designer will work closely with the Design + Architecture team, as well as the Construction team, helping to implement Pep Boy's new and innovative design solutions that align with Pep Boys' brand standards, business objectives, and optimize the Customer Experience. Designer must be comfortable with working on multiple fast passed projects at a time. Key Responsibilities
- Space Planning: Develop and refine interior floor plans, optimizing layouts for functionality, efficiency, and brand consistency.
- Review + track CD drawings and vendor submittals throughout the entire project schedule.
- Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E): Select, procure, and oversee the installation of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment for projects, adhering to project budgets and timelines.
- Design Oversight: Support the interior design/architectural teams for all ground-up projects and interior renovations, ensuring that designs meet operational and aesthetic goals.
- Brand Alignment: Collaborate with the Marketing and Design teams to ensure that all design elements reflect and enhance Pep Boys' brand identity.
- Vendor Management: Partner with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to source materials and ensure timely delivery and installation.
- Compliance: Ensure all interior designs adhere to building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 3-5 years of commercial interior design experience within retail, hospitality, or commercial project sectors
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong talent in furniture and special floor plan layouts
- Strong knowledge of FF&E sourcing and procurement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with building codes, ADA compliance, and sustainable design practices.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
