New Products Application Engineer (AE) Although listed as remote, this role is ideally hybrid with candidates located near our New Orleans headquarters

Position Summary

Intralox is seeking an Application Engineer to join our ILOX US Horizontal Food Spiral Engineering team. This is a high-impact, customer-facing engineering role where you will apply technical expertise to real-world challenges, develop innovative solutions, and travel to customer sites to see your work in action. With 30-40% travel, this position is ideal for someone who wants to grow quickly, gain broad industry exposure, and build a career foundation in applications engineering, field engineering, or product leadership.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities

* Serve as a senior technical resource for customers, including on-site visits, system evaluations, and solution recommendations
* Apply engineering fundamentals to design, evaluate, and optimize conveyor and material-handling solutions in complex environments
* Partner with R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Sales to support customer projects and new applications
* Lead the technical execution of projects, including layout development, performance modeling, installation support, and post-installation validation
* Travel regionally (approximately 30-40%) to conduct audits, troubleshooting, system assessments, and customer training
* Develop clear technical documentation, presentations, and training materials for both internal and external audiences
* Provide structured, data-driven customer feedback to support product improvements and influence future development
* Participate in field testing, data collection, reliability assessments, and performance analysis

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, ideally involving fieldwork, system design, troubleshooting, or customer-facing technical support
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering concepts in real-world settings
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to work in customer manufacturing environments and build strong, trust-based relationships
* Willingness and ability to travel 30-40%
* Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities
* Curiosity and interest in learning new technologies, tools, and engineering methods
