Tempur Sealy Inc. is searching for an EDI Engineer to join the IT team! This individual will serve as a member of a team that is responsible for the implementation, development, and support of internal business applications including Dynamics AX and all EDI platforms.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Results Area:



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and deliver effective solutions
  • Possess a deep knowledge of EDI transactions in manufacturing and logistics
  • Translate business requirements into software specifications and functional designs.
  • Write and debug programs; design and build integrations; perform peer code review; use debugging tools and development tools; tune the applications; understand how the application interacts in a technical environment (e.g., network, infrastructure, database, etc.)
  • Support, maintain, and modify existing systems and integrations. Including recommendations and improvements to gain efficiency
  • Monitor and troubleshoot questions/problems from the user community
  • Participate in Tempur Sealy upgrade projects and new enhancement requests
  • Work with EDI trading partners through onboarding, training, and support
  • Improve EDI document flow and processes
  • Write SQL queries and reports to extract and manipulate data from multiple relational databases
  • Be able to work multiple projects and support issues
  • Ensure deadlines are met for individual and team projects
  • Maintain technical documentation and source control related to project design and implementation
  • Setup communications protocols and update certification as needed
  • Respond quickly to resolve application issues
  • Rotate on call responsibility for after-hours support for failed processing, patches, outages, etc.
  • Acts as a technical SME during escalated P1/P2 Issues
  • Other duties as assigned


Salary Range: $89,000 - $126,000

Other primary duties and responsibilities include the following; however, Management reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time. This document excludes the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties.


  • Education/Training/Equipment:


    • Experience in related field or Bachelor's degree


    • Knowledge of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator environment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
    • Experience working with international trading partners a plus.
    • Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Fast-paced corporate office environment. Some stress may occur.

    Technical:



    • Knowledge of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator 5.0 or above and perimeter server software
    • BPML
    • Professional experience working with manufacturing ERP - Dynamics AX/D365 experience is a plus
    • Experience with the following communication protocols: FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, AS2, API. SOAP is a plus.
    • Data transformation experience with the X12 format. Experience with EDIFACT and XML files a plus.
    • Operating systems skill in Windows
    • Extended knowledge in writing Business Activity Queries (BAQs), Business Process Management (BPMs) and dashboards
    • Experience with EDI assessments and recommendations to improve systems
    • Manufacturing EDI experience and X12 transactions such as 810, 850, 855, and 856
    • 3PL EDI experience and X12 transactions such as 940,945,846 and 888
    • Logistic EDI experience and X12 transactions such as 204, 214 and 220.
    • Experience with ERP integrations.
    • 3+ years' experience with SQL
    • 5+ years EDI experience
    • API experience is a plus
