RP is seeking an Integration Developer with 2-4 years of experience to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain integrations that enable TSA systems, applications, and data sources to communicate reliably and securely. You will collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders to map data flows, build APIs, resolve integration issues, and ensure the smooth operation of mission-critical data exchanges across the TSA environment.

This position is based in Springfield, VA, with local candidates preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement integration architectures, including point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, and enterprise service bus (ESB) models.
  • Translate business needs into technical integration requirements by mapping data flows, data transformations, and system interactions.
  • Build, consume, and maintain REST and SOAP APIs that enable secure, scalable system integrations.
  • Develop and maintain data transformations while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with TSA data governance standards.
  • Analyze integration logs, identify issues, and troubleshoot system interaction or data exchange failures.
  • Provide ongoing operational support, optimization, and enhancement of integrations as TSA requirements evolve.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration solutions align with enterprise architecture guidelines and security protocols.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement through documentation, testing, and feedback cycles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with API development or systems integration.
  • Proficiency in API design, programming, and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data lineage, and data privacy standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based integration tools (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Public Trust (suitability) clearance.
  • Ability to work for any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience monitoring, controlling, and analyzing API traffic or usage patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment processes.
  • Experience with Salesforce AppExchange products or third-party integration tools.
  • Understanding of business processes and how platforms like Salesforce can be leveraged to improve them.
