Vaco Atlanta is hiring a Collections Specialist to join a growing, fast-paced organization! This person will manage a defined portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, accurate reconciliation, and strong customer communication. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable collaborating across departments to resolve issues and improve overall AR health.
What You'll Do: * Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts with accuracy and urgency * Reconcile invoices, payments, credits, and account activity to ensure clean and accurate AR records * Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to validate account details and resolve discrepancies * Distribute periodic statements, invoices, and dunning letters based on NetSuite cadence * Conduct weekly collection calls for items aged 30+ days and maintain detailed call logs in NetSuite * Update customer profiles with relevant information to support effective and timely collections * Prepare and submit complete credit memo request packages for review and approval * Escalate high-risk accounts by compiling detailed summaries and supporting documentation * Run and review weekly aging reports and provide updates on top accounts in the portfolio * Collaborate with the Cash Applications team to validate and process payments received * Ensure payments are applied accurately and provide customers with updated statements when needed Requirements * 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or related finance function * Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite required) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach * Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Confidence in navigating difficult conversations and negotiating payment arrangements Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
