Executive Assistant: The professional will serve as executive assistant to 1-3 specialty sections in addition to supporting the sections faculty members (approx. 15-25) within each Section of Anesthesiology.
The professional serves as the key contact person for 1-3 specialty sections to include coordinating section activities and serving as the coordinator for a variety of projects. Providing project management and administrative support for daily functions that include but are not limited to: managing multiple complex appointment calendars, coordinating travel arrangements/accommodations, CV /dossier updates, merits, promotions, recruitment, appointment, re-appointment, appraisals, grant proposal preparation, manuscripts, conferences, lectures, scheduled meetings, taking of official minutes, and clinical activities. This position also works closely with multiple regional and national societies. The position requires a keen understanding of goals and missions of the department as well as the ability to understand UCD, UCDHS policy and procedures and have the ability to understand and interpret policies of other institutions and organizations in order to resolve issues.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- AA/AS degree or equivalent experience
- Experience providing exceptional support to Executives and/or Board members.
- At least four to six years of experience providing exceptional support to Executives and/or Board members.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint, MyInfoVault, eRecruit, and other computer programs to produce documents, forms, reports, and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Business Administration or a related field plus two years' experience providing administrative support is preferred; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience (totaling 6 years).
- Experience working with academic personnel policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in a health care setting preferred
- Power point experience and editing is highly desired with ability to create board level presentations.
- Project management skills a plus.
- Prior experience in a health care setting preferred
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse background.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and to work with multiple executives.
- Skills to assimilate complex data sets to develop data findings, conclusions and recommendations.

Department Overview
Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine is a leading multispecialty practice offering comprehensive training, high-quality patient care, conducting innovative research and educational opportunities.
