Environmental Technician Requisition Number: 2025-1810-13 S&ME is seeking an individual to join our team on various projects with our client, Southern Company, as an Environmental Technician, and help us provide them with engineering solutions. You will report to Southern Company's Logan Martin Dam office in Vincent, Alabama, for weekly scheduled projects and locations. Extensive travel is required. You will typically travel directly to each site from your home. Project sites will be located in Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Travel expenses will be covered by Southern Company. As an Environmental Technician, you will serve as a supplemental or vendor services worker to the CFS, Drilling Services organization in support of various environmental/geotechnical drilling and the maintenance and installation of instrumentation linked to groundwater and surface water monitoring. Installation and management of real-time instrumentation (e.g., In-Situ Trolls, piezometers, inclinometers, groundwater, and surface water monitoring instruments) and other monitoring technologies for CCR, dams, levees, slopes, construction sites, and the oversight of contractors as needed.
