Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join them. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading and managing a 3-shift operation within an assigned Machine Shop part family. You will partner with a cross-functional team to set and drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost standards and objectives to ensure reliable, on-time delivery of quality parts to our customers.

To be considered for the Manufacturing Manager role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in an operations and/or machine shop environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including demonstrated capability of:
    • Leading, developing and coaching high-performing teams of employees.
    • Leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tactical plans that achieve operation objectives.
    • Effectively leading through organizational changes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a proven track record of enacting lean manufacturing strategies and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will:

  • Lead a team of direct report and cross-functional staff demonstrating Moog Culture and Values (e.g. manufacturing supervisors, engineers, planners, HR, cost accountants, lean, quality, supply chain, etc.).
  • Develop tactical plans to achieve Machine Shop and Site's strategic objectives, including being directly responsible for output of assigned part family.
  • Facilitate resolution of all issues that may impact objectives for quality, cost, delivery and safety.
  • Champion adherence to Moog Systems and Procedures in carrying out decisions within machining operations.
  • Coordinate functions to ensure all required support services are effectively and efficiently planned, provided, and utilized.
  • Champion and foster a culture of collaboration, results-based operational excellence, customer orientation, strong awareness of quality, process orientation and continuous improvement and safety.
  • Recognize the future machining bottlenecks or constraints and develop a plan to avoid them before they occur.
  • Ensure that relevant, accurate, and timely communication and reports are acquired from and delivered to stakeholders.
  • Successfully lead and support shop floor change projects, support product transition projects to and from East Aurora Military Aircraft Group Operations.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $125,000.00-$175,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
