Responsibilities

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for a Structural Forensic Department Manager to join our Florida Facilities team in Miami, FL. In this role, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients. As a Department Manager, you strive to lead both your team and your profits. You have extensive experience both out on the field as well as handling the "business" side of facilities inspection. Engineers, inspectors, and project managers look to you for mentoring both technically and in building client relationships. You know how to set the bar high and not only achieve that goal yourself - but bring others along with you. You are extremely hard working and strive to ensure that your team delivers the best quality. You get the "big" picture and want to contribute accordingly - and that's why you'll have all the opportunity for career growth within our company you'll want.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee a department focused on Structural Systems
  • Involvement with inspections of forensic evaluations, structural investigations and design and other related inspections and professional services
  • Project management, proposal and report review and preparations, and as the department continues to evolve, lead and mentor staff engineers and inspectors
  • Lead marketing and business development functions in this market sector
  • Aggressively expand a group of engineers, certified inspectors, and technicians involved with structural systems
  • Oversee quality control, report review and management of projects related to structural systems
  • P&L responsibility for the department

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required; Special Inspector (SI) certification preferred
