Summary
The Respiratory Care Equipment Assistant cleans and assembles equipment and maintains and stores supplies in the designated areas. He/she performs simple maintenance so equipment is ready for use in designated areas. He/she performs inventory duties to assist with ordering of equipment and supplies in designated areas. He/she distributes equipment and supplies according to departmental procedures. He/she maintains accurate records related to equipment and supplies. Attends at least four annual in-services/hospital CBLs. He/she assists with training new hires on disinfection/sterilization and equipment setup.

Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Card.

* Previous hospital experience preferred.

* Must attend Hospital in-service training classes as specified.

* Must demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of the processing of respiratory care equipment and supplies following in-service training.
